The Easter Bunny brought her a fish whom she has lovingly named Foo Foo. She LOVES to feed her and will watch her swim for minutes! (that's quite a bit in 2-year-old time)

Domestic Diva

Well, I started my new job today: full-time domestic diva. I prefer that title to "stay-at-home mom." It has a little more jazz, don't ya think? :) Whatever you call it, I call it blessed. I've shared with some friends that I am admittedly nervous about entering this new profession. Will it be challenging enough, boring or unfulfilling? After much thought, I've concluded that spending 24/7 with my child is indeed challenging, anything but boring and what is more fulfilling than knowing that I control everything she sees and does? For the first time in my life, I feel like I am EXACTLY where God wants me. And for a girl who prays for answers in neon lights, this peaceful feeling is huge. Granted Coco has only had a sitter for 6 months of her life (3 last summer and 3 this winter), this definitely feels like a big transition. We won't be packing up to go to the shop every day; I won't be feeling guilty for constantly trying to pacify her so I can get some work done. It will be just us (at least a few more days until baby brother comes.) Now, when Sebastian arrives, my world will again be flipped on its head and I'll have to learn how to shower again. So if you see me looking a little less than presentable in the coming months, know that I have never been more honored to be disheveled! I am a proud domestic diva!

Easter Bunny fun

It looks as if Coco is no more a fan of the Easter Bunny than she is Santa Claus. I had hoped that Aunt Jaime wearing the bunny suit would make getting a picture possible but no such luck!

Good food & good friends

To satisfy both my craving for Thai food and adult, female conversation, a few of us girls celebrated my last hoorah before Sebastian comes Friday at Sawaddi. I also had the ulterior motive of the spicy food throwing me into labor but...no such luck! I'm still here and he's still "cookin!" The food was good and the company was even better. Thank you Jaime, Sara and Kress for a wonderful night!

Vicks + Coco = Jheri curls

I'm not sure if Coco was trying to be a trend setter or not (let's hope for not), but she greeted me at the door this afternoon with the juiciest set of jheri curls I've ever seen! During nap today, quiet as a mouse, our little Houdini opened the childproof door to her bathroom and dug out the Baby Vicks. A few minutes and an ENTIRE jar is all it took to create her jheri curl masterpiece! Five hairwashses later, she's still a little greasy and whole lot effervescent!

A Date with Twilight

I feel like a kid who just got a new toy...Donald surprised me with a copy of the Twilight movie! Admittedly, the movie doesn't even begin to compare with the book, but it still satisfies my addiction. I'm anxious for Donald to join me on my date with Twilight tonight. He loves vampire movies but thinks this one is so G rated because the vampires can go out in sunlight...they just sparkle! Now that's my kind of vampire - one that glitters! And, if you haven't seen Edward Cullen glitter, you're truly missing out.

Sebastian's Celebration

With only 4 weeks to go, the thought of Sebastian being here "live and in person" is becoming increasingly real. Celebrations like the one my nearest and dearest friends hosted for me help the excitement outweigh the fear. It was almost surreal receiving gifts fit for a little prince...am I really about to have a little baby boy? In a world of pink, it's hard to imagine how he'll change the dynamics of our family. Most of you know it has taken me a while to get my head around this little guy. I had somehow convinced myself Coco would have a little sister and I would be buying matching dresses and bows for them! My friend Sarah, who probably doesn't know this, gave me the words of encouragement that got me excited about the reality of a brother & sister relationship. I look forward to watching Coco play with Star Wars toys and seeing Sebastian ride along in a pink Barbie jeep.

While Sunday's celebration was all-boy, complete with a Peter Potty (thanks Audie for this eye-opening gift!), it was an afternoon that truly made me feel like a princess. Thank you to the hostesses with the mostest for honoring me for the day and all of my dear friends who took the time to celebrate with me. My love to you all!
