Mom seeking words of wisdom

Help! My 2 year old used to LOVE her bathtime. It was 30 minutes of fun & bubbles. My how quickly things can change. I'd say for the past month, bathtime has been a true test of our religion. The screaming starts at first mention of washing hair and doesn't stop until pajamas are put on. The hair, the body, the comb, the Q-Tip (yes, we use them!), the toothbrush...it all seems to be a new form of torture for her. I am posting this looking for some "been there, done that" advice. I oftentimes find that fellow moms who have conquered similar situations can enlighten me with a simple solution or give me hope that this too shall pass. If you have any words of wisdom, please send them my way!

This is a picture of my sweet darling formerly LOVING her bath!

My kids HATE to have their hair washed. Sometimes I just let them play without washing hair to keep it fun, but, of course, we can't do that every time. I've started letting E pour the water on his own head and that seems to help. Don't know what else to tell you. I also let my kids brush their own teeth and then I brush them right before they're finished. Good luck. It's tough sometimes :)

Have you tried the slip-n-slide bath??? It works great! Jk....seriously, what about a shower, hates that too?? Have you tried the "tooth tunes" tooth brush that sings? There is always coaxing with a sucker after bath, but maybe not after teeth!

don't know that I have a special remedy for the situation other than to tell you that "this too shall pass." yes, they all go through phases and at once can hate something they just loved yesterday. give her as much control over the situation as you can. i let my girls wash with a loofah and they see how bubbly they can get. i also let them put the shampoo in their own hair. i have some great sill songs for preschool that you might play while you are taking a bath. it might make it a little more fun. i will burn you one today.

we go through this EVERY SINGLE NIGHT and have been for at least 6 months now. it's awful, however i have found something that works well for us on occasion. i bought a "watering hose" for the bathtub that attaches to the faucet. for some reason olivia loves to help me water the flowers outside and play in the water from the hose, so i thought that maybe if i got her a hose for the tub then she would enjoy it more. it's messy and water gets all over the floor, but i'm just a "whatever it takes" kinda girl and just deal with it and clean it up afterwards. like i said, it works on occassion, but we almost always have a bathtime battle with her.
i read somewhere that if you put a mirror in the tub so they can see themselves that it can help. i have also tried putting baby dolls in the tub and having olivia wash the babies while trying to explain the whole process to her.
hope these things help you more than they did me. i fully understand where you are coming from and it's not fun at all. hope this is a quick phase for you guys. good luck!
